other things that keep me busy

After my youngest was diagnosed three years ago I started researching health and type 1 diabetes and curating a collection of T1D books for children and young adults.

Homeschooling my children has inspired my to start building a community and resource app with Django/ Python for homeschoolers in Italy. I’m enjoying Django a lot and this project turned out to be a great tool for learning through practice. I haven’t launched it yet but a private beta version will be online soon.

More than ten years ago I developed a custom agency management app and I have been maintaining it and updating the code ever since. It is still being used by clients. It was initially built on a LAMP stack but it’s currently using a Directus API backend with a Nuxt 3 frontend.

nunawe.com is a personal project inspired by my children and I worked on it during my stay in Canada. I handled product design, prototyping, manufacturing launch, website design and development, and preparation of a utility patent application for a reversible bed. After moving to Italy I had to put it on hold but a part of me still wants to keep the website online.
